This lovely old print of an Albert Anker
(Swiss, 1831-1910) painting hangs in the store and reminds
us of what knitting brings to all our lives. An enrichment
of sharing a tradition. This print was purchased in the mid
1930's and hung for years in The Wool Shop, a yarn shop run
by two dedicated, forward-thinking, innovative women, Esther
Herchenroeder nd Janice Upham. The print has been passed on
to the Ladybug by one of those women. We are honored to share
it with you.
